Lyme Disease
The Township has given residents outdated Information about Deer Ticks - Ticks are present on all wild animals and the bacteria is actually formed from the White Footed Mouse. Deer are immune to the infected tick; kill off the deer and the tick will search out human's to feed. Watch a Video from National Geographic
We should not wipe out our Deer Population because ticks can easily find deer to feed since they are a large mammal. The Township has a product similar to Front Line for Dogs & Cats that can be administered to deer which would kill the ticks that feed; why not use the deer as a tool to kill these ticks since these ticks search out large mammals? Do your own research, these ticks formally known as deer ticks are present on all wildlife and they were given the name deer ticks because the ticks traveled on the deer from Lyme Connecticut with the tick infected with a bacteria from the White Footed Mouse.
